I've been reading a few photography blogs lately trying to learn more about taking good pictures. (I have so much to learn!) I found a good tip - When photographing children, ask them to look into your camera lens to see if they can see your eye as you peer through the viewfinder. I've found it works best with my preschool age children. My 7 and 9 year old boys were so intent on finding my eye that they had their faces an inch from the lens with noses all scrunched up. Not a pretty picture.
