Rebekah turns 2!

My sweet, little (really - she's only 19 pounds!) Rebekah turned 2 years old this past week. How did that happen? I still think of her as a baby which must be why I'm constantly calling Anna by her older sister, Rebekah's, name. (Or is it my age creeping up on me? Couldn't be!) Rebekah (a.k.a. "Hobo" - that's another story for another time) is our expressive and dramatic one, full of energy, mischief, kisses and lots of questions. She adores her big sissy and her big girl bed that Grandpa made for her and Ellen, swimming, Silly Songs and her new 'Hello' which was her favorite birthday present. She had a table full of presents and, unfortunately, she opened the play cell phone from Grandma first and then had no interest in opening any other gifts, much to the chagrin of her siblings. She carries her 'Hello' (well, that is what people say to it every time they pick one up) everywhere she goes, sometimes in her purse. What a cutie! We celebrated the creation of our precious one at the water park until a deluge forced us home and later by eating pizza and chocolate brownies. Yummy! Isn't turning 2 fun? It's just so hard to train that thumb to hold down the 4th and 5th fingers so that one can properly tell people just how old you are. Ah, the trials and tribulations of being 2. That and learning that the world does not revolve around you, especially when a new baby has infringed on your turf. But that was 7 weeks ago - and I'm sure life as the baby of the family is already a distant memory for Rebekah. Now she wears the title of 'Big Sister' proudly. I love you Rebekah!
