Several weeks ago the kids had the opportunity to assist in the making of a production that involved green screen technology. It fascinated them. They watched a YouTube video that described how to set up a green screen and the software needed to make it work. Their faces fell as they realized they needed to purchase just the right color green screen, the proper lights and the $300 software to make it happen. Out of their budgets and beyond birthday gifts.
Then a friend came over and showed them that the iMovie program they've been using to make their movies does indeed have green screen capability. Eureka! Now to make their own studio. They gathered green construction paper from our craft cabinet, taped it together and put it up against our living room wall hoping it would work. Collecting every available bright lamp in our house they now had their lighting and were in business. I just love watching 'discovery' in the lives of our children. And I'm excited to see what their creative minds come up with next.
