That's what I posted on Facebook the day Ellen turned 13. And Rich, being the numbers genius that he is, quickly calculated that we will have a teenager under our roof for the next 19 years! And for 9 of those years, we will have 3 teenagers in the house!
We are so thankful for the wise friends who have gone ahead of us in their parenting. It is their example we are following as they parent with an eternal perspective. (He who walks with the wise grows wise... Proverbs 13:20)And it is them who encourage us with example after example of beautiful teens who love the Lord and love their parents. So thankful for their Godly example and really, really excited for this next season with Ellen.
She makes all things beautiful - with her smile, her gifts and talents, her kind and encouraging words and her sweet disposition.
We love and adore and treasure you so much, Ellen!

We've had a teenager in the house now for 7 years, and will for another MANY more! I love it! Teenagers are GREAT!!!
We too are so thankful for that Godly example. People who gave us hope that the teenage years were something to look forward to because all around us was only negative comments about teenagers.
